1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the dabalabs platform, website, and API (collectively, the "Service"), operated by dabalabs ("dabalabs," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, uploading content, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, in which case "you" refers to that entity.
2. Description of the service
dabalabs provides AI-powered voice dubbing: you upload or link to a source video or audio file, we generate a translated script for your review, and — once approved — we produce a dubbed audio track spoken in a voice matching the original speaker in your source file. The Service does not include subtitling, transcription delivered as a standalone product, or general-purpose translation of text unrelated to a media file. Features, supported languages, and processing times may change over time and are not guaranteed to remain identical between releases.
3. Accounts
You must create an account to submit dubbing jobs. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@dabalabs.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. Company accounts must designate an administrator authorized to manage billing, seats, and access on the company's behalf.
4. Your content, voice rights, and matching consent
You retain all ownership rights in the video and audio files you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant dabalabs a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, transcribe, translate, and generate a matched-voice audio model from Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.
Voice matching has consequences for the people whose voices appear in your uploads. By submitting a file for dubbing, you represent and warrant that:
- you own Your Content or hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload it and to have it processed by the Service;
- every identifiable speaker in Your Content is either you, or has given you documented, informed consent to have their voice matched and used to generate synthetic speech through this Service;
- Your Content does not infringe the intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights of any third party, and does not violate any applicable law; and
- you will not use the Service to impersonate any person without authorization, to create deceptive or fraudulent media, or to generate content intended to harass, defame, or mislead.
We may request evidence of consent for any upload and may suspend processing or remove content pending verification. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate any job that we believe, in good faith, violates this section.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- match or dub a voice without the consent required under Section 4;
- generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes a third party's rights;
- create synthetic media intended to deceive audiences about the identity of the speaker in a political, financial, or newsworthy context without clear disclosure that the audio is AI-dubbed;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying models used to provide the Service; or
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including through unauthorized automated access.
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
6. Payment terms
The Service is billed per minute of source media processed, either on a pay-as-you-go basis or against a monthly minute allowance included in a paid plan, as described on our Pricing page. Fees are charged in advance for plan subscriptions and in arrears for usage beyond any included allowance.
All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, which you are responsible for unless we are required by law to collect them. Fees are non-refundable except as described in Section 7 or as required by applicable law. We may change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers; continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Failure to pay outstanding fees may result in suspension of Service access until the account is brought current.
7. Refunds and job failures
If a dubbing job fails to process, or the delivered output does not match what you approved during the review step due to an error on our part, contact hello@dabalabs.com within 14 days of delivery. We will reprocess the affected job at no additional charge or refund the minutes billed for that job, at our discretion. We do not refund minutes for jobs that processed correctly against a script you approved.
8. Intellectual property
dabalabs retains all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including our underlying software, models, and trademarks. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the dubbed audio output generated from Your Content is yours to use, and we claim no ownership interest in it. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our underlying technology to you.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that voice cloning or translation output will be error-free, that it will perfectly replicate a source voice or meaning, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, dabalabs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to dabalabs in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold dabalabs harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights — including claims arising from voice cloning performed without the required consent described in Section 4.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, fail to pay outstanding fees, or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a legal or security risk to dabalabs or others. Sections 4, 8, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice by email or through the Service at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
